This is a sign of the end.

Microsoft's implementation of Snapfish for printing photographs from Spaces Blogs is in violation of my copyright. Yesterday, I was made painfully aware that anyone could view my pictures in my gallery (this is my wish and why I post the images) but they can also, with a few button clicks, go to Snapfish and print my copyrighted work for a few pennies each. Snapfish makes money. Microsoft, undoubtably, reaps some reward from this partnership. What do I get? I own the image as its creator and reap nothing for the unauthorized reproduction and use of my images. This is heinous beyond belief. My angry letters to Microsoft have been met with inane responses assuming my Space was the copyright violator. I own the space. I took the pictures. No one - but no one can legally reproduce them. I am the victim yet I was given instructions on how to report myself.

Readers, I will miss you. As I deleted 236 blog entries containing fiction, anecdotes, and observances. I have blocked all access to the photos posted here but am leaving them as evidence. It has been a wonderful four years in mutual conversation with you. I will miss you all.

I will leave this final message up as an explanation as to why I've gone and to warn everyone of Microsoft and SnapFish's transgressions against law and decency. They contrive to cheapen my brand, lessen my artistic vision and take food from my children's mouths. I urge you all to consider carefully the materials you entrust to them.
